About the Artist

Eryn is a professional henna artist in Colorado Springs, CO.  She has been doing temporary body art with all-natural henna and jagua for over a decade.

Prior to moving to Colorado, Eryn lived in sunny (too sunny, if you ask her) Los Angeles working on everyone from everyday professional to some of the biggest Hollywood celebrities.

When not doing some type of art, Eryn can be found bargain-hunting for treasures at local thrift stores, walking her dogs, and forest-bathing under the pines!

Look for her at local Pop-up shops in downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City and east Colorado Springs!

About Henna

Henna is a natural paste made from plant materials, which when drawn onto the skin, leaves a beautiful, brick-red stain for up to three weeks depending on body part and aftercare.

The henna plant, a.k.a. lawsonia inermis, goes back to Biblical times and has been used not only for body art, but for its healing properties and as a cooling salve.

Many different cultures use it as body decoration for various ceremonies, but anyone can enjoy the magic of henna

About Jagua

Jagua is also a natural paste which, when applied to the skin, leaves a dark, bluish-black stain for up to three weeks.

Jagua juice comes from an unripe fruit that grows in South America.

Jagua is wonderful for dramatic body art and can be used like henna for beautiful hand designs, but is also excellent for seeing what a permanent tattoo will look like before committing to it.

Jagua is NOT to be confused with "black henna" which is often just black hair dye.  Always make sure your henna or jagua body art comes from natural ingredients and a reputable artist.

As with any fruit, allergic reactions can occur, but are very rare.  If you have allergies to strawberries, kiwi, or other fruits, I recommend doing a small patch test.  I have personally only seen only one allergic reaction in 10 years of doing jagua.
