In-depth Aftercare Instructions
for a fabulous stain

  1. CAREFULLY Allow henna to dry for approximately 15 minutes                     (just like when you get a manicure)

  2. Return to me to get it sealed with sugar solution                                           (this helps it stick to your skin longer)

  3. Leave henna paste on your skin for 1-4 hours.  The longer you leave it on, the darker/longer-lasting the stain.

  4. To remove the paste, scrape (or rub, pick, or peel) it off with the edge of a credit card.                                                                                                        (do this over the sink and not on your floors, as the bits will stain carpeting)

  5. Use any cooking/kitchen oil to remove sticky residue.

Your stain will change from orange to brick-red over 3 days and then gradually fade away in 1-2 weeks.

~~~
For a long-lasting stain, apply a balm prior to water exposure.
Examples are: Aquaphor, Vaseline, Lip balm, Shea butter, cocoa butter,
Henna and Jagua both start off light in color and become darker over 5 days
